circa 1940 Watts car house at Watts Junction. Watts Junction played a vital role in the Southern District. The Santa Ana, El Segundo, and other Southwest cities’ lines parted here, and the Long Beach, San Pedro, and New port lines continued towards the coast.  The Watts Carhouse was used to service the local line with a terminus at the car house and locomotives.

Looking out from the inside of the building at 174 Kinney Street, part of Pacific Electric Railway Company’s bus yard at Ocean Park. This block was bounded by Neilson Way, on which Venice Short Line trains ran, Kinney Street, a small alley behind Main Street which contained the single track line for the Santa Monica Air Line, and Ashland Street.
Although Los Angeles Motor Coach (owned by Pacific Electric Railway Company and Los Angeles Railway Company) buses shared this yard, Ocean Park was not considered a Los Angeles Motor Coach division.
